Plane skids down runway, tears off landing gear

A cargo aircraft owned by Indonesia’s domestic carrier Trigana Air skidded while landing at the Wamena airport in eastern Indonesia’s Papua province on Tuesday No injuries were reported. The incident happened on Tuesday morning the aircraft failed to land at the airport after one of its wheels reportedly broke , The aircraft, which was carrying 14 tonnes of fuel belonging to Indonesian state energy firm Pertamina, had been travelling from Papua’s Sentani airport.
Marketing director for Pertamina Ahmad Bambang told Indonesia’s Detik news website that there were no casualties and that the fuel load was safe.
