The fireworks, which attract visitors from all across the world, will be replaced with a special light show.

#Dubai: A 62-year-old Emirati man has been accused of raping his 52-year-old Filipina maid after threatening to physically assault her at his residence, a court heard on Sunday.
The maid was said to have absconded from her 62-year-old sponsor’s went directly to the police station in October where she alleged that she had been raped.
The Filipina told the duty police officer that her sponsor had repeatedly raped her after threatening to beat her up.
Police summoned the 62-year-old employee for questioning, during which he refuted the maid’s claims and said that she had fabricated the rape case because he wanted to send her back to her country, Prosecutors charged the suspect with raping the woman after threatening to beat her.
An Etihad Airways flight travelling from Abu Dhabi to Sydney made a safe landing at Australia’s Adelaide Airport early on Saturday after a warning indicator activated in the cockpit. The Boeing 777 passenger jet had 349 passengers on board who disembarked via emergency exits. Passengers would make their onward journeys via other airlines due to crew rest requirements, the airline said.
An Emirates flight from Dubai to Munich was recently diverted after a medical emergency on board, The flight EK049 had to be diverted to Kuwait.
The passenger received immediate medical attention upon landing but unfortunately was pronounced dead by an emergency doctor on the ground. The flight continued its journey to Munich where it landed approximately 2.5hrs behind schedule.
